RIGOROUS ARTS TRAINING

Students take electives during the school day in Drama, Dance, Music and Visual Arts. The after school program also adds Acting, Music, Piano, Hip Hop, Ballet, Creative Writing, Tap, Jazz, Voice, Yoga, Modern Dance and Choir.

ACADEMICS

A highly skilled staff of teachers provides students with advanced skills in Reading, Phonics, Language, Writing, Math, Science, History, Geography, Spelling, Yearbook and Computers. Our students regularly test in the top 20% of the nation on standardized testing.

OUTREACH BEYOND OUR SHORES

In 2009, CPSOA worked with the Phil Simon Clinic by accompanying a group of Medical Experts to Tanzania, Africa, to provide AIDS medication, healthcare, and education to three rural clinics.

Open enrollment for 2011/2012

Creative Planet, a non-profit, private elementary school, provides students with personalized instruction in both academics and the arts. The school has been successfully teaching a select and very talented group of children since 2000; over 300 graduates. Some graduates have chosen to continue their arts education and have gone on to other fine institutions.

After School Arts Classes

Monday – Friday, 3:15pm – 6:00pm, Creative Planet opens its doors to all students from the community for only $5 a class. Classes range from acting, dancing, voice, yoga, music, creative writing to visual arts. Click below for a current listing of the after-school arts classes we are now offering.

Performances

CPSOA has performed at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, LA County Fair, El Monte Children’s parade, Monovia Christmas Parade, Culver City Chamber Orchestra, on-stage at the Alex Theatre as the special guests of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and with the women’s chorus, Vox Femina Los Angeles.
